Lauren, Tampere, Finland

My name is Lauren. I moved from my hometown, Reading in Britain to Tampere in Finland in 2015. I met my Finnish partner Maria 2011 during the first year of my Bachelor's degree at the University of Chester. She came to study in Chester for one year through the EU's Erasmus student exchange programme. Maria suggested that I apply to study a Master's degree in Finland, and I was accepted into Tampere University! As an EU citizen I didn't have to pay tuition fees. Maria and I finally got married last year!
