Jane, Suresnes, France

25th Jan 2020. a) I wanted to travel as much as possible. Started in Paris, where I planned on living for a while. Decided I loved it so much I wanted to stay- so I did! B) moved from London in June 1970 c) Since 1997, Suresnes has become my home town where I have good friends. Now so ashamed to be British with damn Brexit on the horizon... Vive l'Europe e Vive la France!

A selection of these appears in the Postcards from the British in Europe installation in Departures, the museum's current exhibition exploring four centuries of emigration from Britain, bringing Britain’s emigration story and its emigrants into the national conversation about migration
